Satire: A Primer

In response to some of the more constructive (and profanity-laden) comments, I'd like to provide a quick definition of satire:

"Satire is a technique of writing or art which exposes the follies of its subject (for example, individuals, organizations, or states) to ridicule, often as an intended means of provoking or preventing change. The humor of satire tends to be subtle, using irony and deadpan humour liberally."

In the words of Krusty, "It's a JOKE...whenever you look at me like that, it's a joke." I appreciate your feedback and have even enjoyed the inundation of Mother jokes. Thanks for your patronage and dedication to making this a better site.
