Air America Bunkrupt--Proof Libs are Bad with Money?

According to several internet sources (link), Air America—the unheard liberal voice on the FM waves—will likely be announcing major restructuring which includes filing for bankruptcy. Is this proof that libs are bad with money? While I certainly find that possibility amusing, perhaps it simply learned a harsh lesson in free market economies: If your product sucks and people don’t want it, you’ll probably go out of business.

I’m all for “progressive” media. The airwaves (both FM and TV) are dominated by far right wing ignorant blowhards. I don’t think Air America was missing the rhetoric, but it was certainly missing the personality. Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter may be evil to the core and clinically insane, but at least they have that Train Wreck Quality. Even though I loathe their positions, I find myself unable to look away when the Crazy Train leaves the station. Air America—and Al Franken in particular—deliver their crazy in a boring, I’m-smarter-than-you snooze fest.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I like my crazy, hollow rhetoric to be delivered with a little pizzazz and sensationalism. If I wanted facts, I’d actually read something printed on paper. I watch TV, listen to the radio, and scour the internet because I am lazy and want to be entertained...if not informed.

Oh, before I forget, I’m also chuckling about the potential demise of Air American because they are a bunch of crooks that steal from kids…allegedly (link 1 2 3)
