134340: The Planet Formerly Known as Pluto

To add insult to injury, Pluto has recently been assigned a number--134340--to reflect its new status as a dwarf planet (link). The Minor Planet Center stated its decision was based solely on the recent International Astronomical Union's decision...and not the outrageous royalty fees charged by Disney for the use of the name "Pluto".

If you remember, Monkey Fartz reported on the Vatican's "Catholics for Pluto" campaign (links 1 2). Despite initial reluctance to team with Catholic Church against Science, insiders report Pluto (sorry, 134340) is now reconsidering the offer.
